LLOYD RICKY WALLACE, 51 years of age of Taylorsville, NC, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 at his home following a brief illness. Born in Russell County, VA,  he was the son of the late Samuel and Mildred Ann Harrison Wallace. He was a resident of Buchanan County most of his life and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a loving father and grandfather and was a Coal Miner

Mr. Wallace is survived by his wife former wife, Arlene Wallace Newsome, 2-Daughters: Andrea Shavon and husband Mack McKinsey Lester, Maxie, VA, Amy Renee and husband Travis Lee Lester, Big Rock, VA, 2-Sisters: Betty and husband Ricky Green, Maxie, VA, Mary Catherine and husband Stevie Ratliff, Taylorsville, NC, 1-Brother:   Timothy A. and wife Becky Wallace, Stony Point, NC

Also, survived by 4-Grandchildren: Kate Lynn, Kristen, Kyra and Julie Lester.

He was preceded in death by 1-Son: Michael Wallace.

Funeral Services for LLOYD RICKY WALLACE will be conducted Monday, April 5, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Dye and Rev. Wayne Harrison officiating with burial to follow in Wallace Cemetery, Cleveland, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Sunday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Mack Lester, Travis Lester, Jason Green, Shane Ratliff, Tim Wallace and Stevie Ratliff.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Staff of Hospice of Catawba Valley, Taylorsville, NC.
