LOIS ANN LOONEY YATES, 61 years of age of Vansant, VA, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the Princeton Community Hospital, Princeton, WV, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of Mary Magdeline Stiltner Looney, Vansant, VA, and the late Hassell Arnold Looney. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was of the Holiness Faith. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, a former employee of Buchanan County School System as a Custodian at Vansant Elementary School and a wonderful homemaker.

Mrs. Yates was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Yates, Sr., August 13, 2008.

She is survived by 2-Daughters: Debra Diane and husband Jessee Fraley Jr., Vansant, VA, Roberta Lynn and husband Rex Alan Parsons, Vansant, VA, 4-Sisters: Erma and husband Ronald Helton, Harlan, KY, Phyllis and husband Ronald Thorn, Dexter, KY, Peggy and husband Joey Hale, Vansant, VA, Helen Jackson, Raven, VA,

6-Brothers: Clinton Looney, Sandlick, VA, Earl and wife Goldie Looney, Richlands, VA, Ferrell Looney, Deerfield, VA, Larry Looney, Vansant, VA, Ricky and wife Denese Looney, Vansant, VA, Michael and wife Darcie Looney, Mt. Vernon, OH

Also, survived by 1-Granddaughter: Hannah Grace; 3-Grandsons: Christopher Parsons, Nathaniel Parsons and Nathan Fraley; and several Nieces and Nephews. 

She was preceded in death by 1-Son: Johnny Yates, Jr., 1-Sister: Wilma Looney; 1-Grandson: Joshua Lee Compton, Maternal Grandparents: Harvey & Virgie Stiltner, and Paternal Grandparents: Harrison & Georgie Looney.

Funeral Services for LOIS ANN LOONEY YATES will be conducted Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at the Keen Mountain Free Pentecostal Church, Keen Mountain, VA, with Ministers: Randy Webb and Danny Hess officiating with burial to follow in the Dry Fork Cemetery on Dry Fork, near Vansant, VA.

Friends may call at the Keen Mountain Free Pentecostal Church, Keen Mountain, VA, Sunday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services Sunday and Monday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Joey Hale, Ryan Looney, Jeremy Stacy, Larry Ray Looney, Aaron Beane and Irvan Compton.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronald Thorn and Ron Helton.
