LOIS ANN VANDYKE LESTER, 60 years of age of Grundy, VA, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Edward Vandyke and Hazel Owens Vandyke Ratliff. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker.

Mrs. Lester is survived by her husband of 39-Years: Loranzie Lester, Grundy, VA, 1-Daughter: Elizabeth Ann and husband Stevie Justus, Paw Paw, VA, 2-Sons: Randy Lee Lester, Grundy, VA, Alex Boone Lester, Grundy, VA, 3-Sisters: Linda Sue Sage, Grundy, VA, Sherry and husband Roy Sawyers, Pikeville, KY, Sandy and husband Richie Bowman, Grundy, VA, 3-Brothers: Noah and wife Charlene Vandyke, Abingdon, VA, James and wife Judy Vandyke, Vansant, VA, David Vandyke, Cedar Bluff, VA

Also, survived by 9-Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by 1-Daughter: Bridget Kay Lester; 2-Sisters: Ruby Keen and Dorothy Rife; and 2-Brothers: Ricky and Kenny Vandyke.

Funeral Services for LOIS ANN VANDYKE LESTER will be conducted Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Ashby officiating with burial to follow in the Mudlick Cemetery, Harman, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Friday evening at 5:00 P.M. with services Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Eric Goss, Mary Ann Collins, 3^rd Floor Nursing Staff of Buchanan General Hospital and Employees of Total Home Care.
