LOLA BLANCHE HOGSTON, 91 years of age of Vansant, Virginia, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness.  Born in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Rexford and Lydia Slone Burnette.  She was a homemaker, a resident of Buchanan County for most of her life and of the Pentecostal Faith. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dile Hogston on June 6, 1996.

Mrs. Hogston is survived by 1-Daughter: Mazie Fuller, Vansant, VA, 2-Sons: Rex and his wife Mary Ruth Spencer, Vansant, VA, Ricky Hogston, Big Rock, VA, 1- Step-Son: Bill Hogston, Hudson, FL, 6-Grandchildren: Billy Helton, Grundy, VA, Brenda Wallace, Vansant, VA, Louetta Carnell, Abingdon, VA, Janet Dye, Raven, VA, Penny Wilson, Vansant, VA, Mark Helton, Tazewell, VA

He is also survived by 8-Great-Grandchildren and 12 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 3-Sisters: Fonnie Lester, Elsie Belcher and Emogene Chafins and 1-Brother: Raymond Burnette.

Funeral services for LOLA BLANCHE HOGSTON will be conducted Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Hess officiating with burial to follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park at Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel after 6:00 P.M. Monday with services at 7:00 P.M. 

Active Pallbearers will be Billy Helton, Mark Helton, Randy Wilson, Greg Dye, Johnny Wayne Carnell II, Johnny Carnell, Willie Wallace II, Dewayne Deel, Jonathan Andrew Helton and Billy Joe Helton.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr.Ramesh Kabaria and Staff and Employees of Heritage Hall Nursing Home.
