MABEL SCARBERRY MULLINS, 86 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the Wellmont-Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, TN, following an extended illness. Born in David, WV, she was the daughter of the late William and Jane Prater Scarberry. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life and was a member of the Church of God. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker.

Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her husband: Harry Mullins, December 13, 1992.

She is survived by 7-Daughters: Juanita and husband Lincoln Lester, Hurley, VA, Audrey Henderson, Hurley, VA, Alice and husband Adam Matney, Hurley, VA, Cassie Coleman, Hurley, VA, Peggy and husband Ed Sparks, Whitewood, VA, Debra and husband Dennis Kahler, San Angelo, TX, Charlotte Mullins, Jonesville, VA, 3-Sons: Cleve Mullins, Hurley, VA, Monroe and wife Linda Mullins, Richlands, VA, Curtis and wife Rita Mullins, Pilgrim Knob, VA, 2-Half Brothers: Junior Scarberry, David, WV, Auston Scarberry, David, WV

Also, survived by 27-Grandchildren and 35-Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 1-Son: Larry Mullins, 1-Granddaughter: Merinda Henderson, 2-Grandsons: Kim Sparks and Christopher Lester, 1-Brother: Wad Scarberry and 4-Sisters: Frances Stone, Virginia Stone, Eddie New and Lillian Buchanan.

Funeral Services for MABLE SCARBERRY MULLINS will be conducted Friday, April 24, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hurley Church of God, Hurley, VA, with Ministers: Doug Blankenship, Donnie Prater and Henry Rowe officiating with burial to follow in the Matney Cemetery on the Right Fork of Guesses Fork, near Hurley, VA.

Friends may call at the Hurley Church of God, Hurley, VA, Wednesday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Grandsons.
