MADGE MAE CLEVINGER BENNETT, 83 years of age of Maxie, VA, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the Mountain View Health Care, Elkhorn City, KY, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Arthur and Gracey Carolina Stiltner Clevinger. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Harman Memorial Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a retired School Teacher for the Buchanan County School System for 34-years. She was a graduate of Grundy High School and Pikeville College Class of 1968, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Bennett, Sr., January 3, 1994.

She is survived by 1-Daughter: Ruth and husband Ronnie Dale, Maxie, VA, 2-Grandchildren: Ronnie Shane and wife Uma Dale, Orlando, FL, Shasta LeeAnn and husband Mike Ebert, Charlotte, NC, 3-Great-Grandchildren: Elizabeth Alison Dale, Orlando, FL, Anthony Seth Dale, Orlando, FL, Alexander Ebert, Charlotte, NC

Also, survived by several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by 3-Sisters: Ruth Marie Clevinger, Agnes Clevinger and Pauline Clevinger; 8-Brothers: Johnny Blake, James Homer, L.K., Louie, Hillard, Sid, Grady and Emil Clevinger; and 1-Grandson: Anthony Dwayne Dale.

Memorial Services for MADGE MAE CLEVINGER BENNETT will be conducted Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Harman Memorial Baptist Church, Harman, VA, with Ministers: Shea Shrader and Lee Upchurch officiating.

Private Burial in the Clevinger Cemetery, Maxie, VA, will take place at a later time.
