MARCELLA JEAN BROWN MAY, 40 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008 at her home following a brief illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Dempsy and Ruby Brown. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County, was a Graduate of Hurley High School Class of 1986 and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and was a wonderful homemaker.

Mrs. May is survived by her husband: Randy Joe May, Hurley, VA, 2-Sons: Christopher Joe May, Hurley, VA, Justin Keith May, Hurley, VA, 3-Sisters: Kassie Mae and husband Ricky Justus, Hurley, VA, Bonnie Lee and husband Ellis Stacy, Hurley, VA, Peggy Ann and husband Kenny Thompson, Martinsville, VA, 4-Step-Sisters: Delphine and husband Ricky Deel, Grundy, VA, Charlotte and husband Randy Koffey, Charlotte, NC, Sherry and husband Bobby Whitt, Hurley, VA, Crystal Lester, Grundy, VA, 1-Step-Brother: Michael Lester, Grundy, VA

She was preceded in death by Step Mother & Father: Rhoda and Lawson Lester.

Funeral Services for MARCELLA JEAN BROWN MAY will be conducted Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Elders: Roger Coleman, Jackie Yates, Herbert May, John R. Justice, Zeb Justice, George Baker and James Stacy officiating.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Monday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

At her request, the body will be cremated.
