MARGARET LEE HATFIELD RIFE, 78 years of age of New Port Richey, FL, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away Monday, March 16, 2009 at the Hernando Pasco Hospice in New Port Richey, FL, following a short illness. Born March 13, 1931, in Ameagle, WV, she was the daughter of the late Hobert and Ethel Davis Hatfield. Ms. Rife lived in Hurley, VA, most of her life before moving to Bristol, VA, and more recently to Florida. She was of the Holiness Faith and a member of the East Bristol Assembly of God, Bristol, VA. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and friend and was a lifelong homemaker. She was previously employed by the Virginia Green Thumb Organization, Virginia High School in Bristol, VA, as an assistant child caregiver and was involved with the Widow Mites. Ms. Rife was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Riddle Rife Jr., May 14, 1982, and 1-Son: Teddy Delmon Rife.

Ms. Rife is survived by 2-Daughters: Ethel and husband Jimmy Wolford, Stopover, KY, Pamela Keen, Clearwater, FL, 3-Sons: Donald and wife Susie Rife, Grundy, VA, Richard and wife Nadine Rife, Port Richey, FL, Terry and wife Vickie Rife, Tazewell, VA

Also, survived by 4-Grandchildren: Tracy Holman, Lisa Billiter, Andy Rife and Randy Rife; and 6-Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Services for MARGARET LEE HATFIELD RIFE will be conducted Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Harold Lane, Stopover Church of God, officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Friday afternoon at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
