MARGIE KEEN HORNE, 72 years of age of the Upper Big Branch Section of Oakwood, VA, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, TN, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Chapman and Rosie Byrd Keen. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful Homemaker. 

Mrs. Horne is survived by her husband: Harvey Horne, Upper Big Branch Section of Oakwood, VA, 4-Daughters: Jo Anne Horne, Mavisdale, VA, Shelby Horne of the Home, Shirley Horne of the Home, Betty Hess, Pilgrims Knob, VA, 2-Sons: Nelson Leon and wife Linda Horne, Dismal, VA, Billy Ray Horne, Dismal, VA, 1-Sister: Delsie and husband Dilliard Mullins, Grundy, VA, 2-Brothers: Donald Ray and wife Virgie Keen, Dismal, VA, J.D. and wife Nancy Keen, Raven, VA

Also, survived by 4-Grandchildren: Leona Horne of Monroe, MI, Billy Lee Jr. and wife Susan Horne, Lee Anna Horne, Patrick Ray Horne all of Dismal, VA; and 2-Great-Grandchildren: Elizabeth Ann Horne and Sarah Beth Horne of Dismal, VA.

She was preceded in death by 4-Sisters: Ethel Keen, Ruby Keen, Effie Stump and Faye Clifton; and 2-Brothers: Walter and Mack Keen.

Funeral Services for MARGIE KEEN HORNE will be conducted Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers: J.D. Keen and Stanley Smith officiating with burial to follow in the Hinkle Cemetery on Upper Big Branch, Dismal Section of Oakwood, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Friday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Nephews and Grandsons.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Friends and Neighbors.
