MARIE MOUNTS BLANKENSHIP STILTNER,
76 years of age of Doran, Virginia, passed away Friday, December
17, 2010 at the Pikeville Methodist Hospital following injuries sustained in an
automobile accident. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late
Acie Clyde and Rebecca B. Bailey Mounts. She was a loving wife, grandmother and
great-grandmother, homemaker and attended the Harman Holiness Church. She had
been a resident of Tazewell County for the past 20 Years.
She is survived by three daughters: Janice and
her husband Estel Baker, Elkhorn City, KY, Rebecca and her husband Phillip Mark
Stiltner, Raven, VA, Linda and her husband Billy Stiltner, Grundy, VA, One Son:
Everett Donnie Blankenship, Raven, VA, One Brother: Burton and his wife Tina
Lorraine Mounts, Grundy, VA
She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 8
Great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly and one
special friend – Elster Horn.
She was preceded in death by her first husband,
William Boyd Blankenship and her second husband, Junior Patton Stiltner; five
(5) Sisters – Della Blankenship, Tennessee Birchfield, Roxie Justus, Edna
Justus and Mary Mounts, and six (6) brothers – Ernest, Bernice, Robert, Addison
and Frank Mounts and Everett Justus.
Funeral services for MARIE MOUNTS BLANKENSHIP
STILTNER, will be conducted Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the
Harman Freewill Baptist Church with Revs. Ronnie Sliger, Josh Bowman and Danny
Hess officiating with burial to follow in the Rob Bailey Cemetery on John Branch
of Main Knox near Hurley, VA
Friends may call at the Harman Freewill Baptist
Church after 6:00 P.M. Monday with services at 7:00 P.M.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Blankenship,
Dwayne Blankenship, Chris Mounts, Billy Smith, James Mounts and Lee Mounts.
Honorary Pallbearers will be J. R. Baker, Phillip
Stiltner, Steven Stiltner, Jeff Stiltner, Eddie Morton and Robert Shelton.
