MARK ANTHONY KEEN, 35 years of age, of Grundy, VA passed away Friday, June 26, 2009, Clinch Valley Medical Center , Richlands, VA following a brief illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late Thomas Glen and Ruby Vandyke Keen.  He was a formerly employed as a Driller for Excel Well Service before becoming disabled.

Mr. Keen is survived by his wife: Amanda Joy Phillips Keen of Grundy, VA; 3-Step Children:  Hannah Shrader, Bastian, VA; J. J. Bonds, Bastian, VA, Everett Bonds, Bastian, VA; 2-Sisters: Dianna and husband David Sage, Grundy, VA, Barbara and husband Johnny Blankenship         Jolo, WV; 2-Brothers:  Thomas Keen, Grundy, VA  and Companion Jeanetta Blankenship, Pikeville, KY; and Michael and wife Jennifer Keen, Grundy, VA.

Also, survived by several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services for MARK ANTHONY KEEN will be conducted Monday, June 29, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Elders: George Baker, Phillip Estep, and Gary Estep officiating with burial to follow in the Hibbitts Cemetery located in the Town of Grundy, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Saturday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services Saturday and Sunday evening at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be:  Danny Bennett, Randy Lester, Marshall Vandyke, Bo Stiltner, Rufus Mullins, Chuck Vandyke, Matthew Blankenship, Thomas Blankenship, Jeff Jewell, Bill Stiltner, Shorty Lee Barnes, and Boone Lester.
