MARLIN COLEMAN,
79 years of age of Maxie,
VA, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the Buchanan General Hospital,
Grundy, VA, following an extended illness. Born in Dickenson County, he was the
son of the late Tyrus (Tie) N. and Stella Wealthy Coleman. He was a resident of
Buchanan County most of his life and served in the United States Army. He was a
devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and was a painter for Bethlehem
Steel.
Mr. Coleman was preceded in
death by his wife, Ruth Coleman.
He is survived by
2-Daughters: Brenda and husband Bill Kidd, Baltimore, MD, Sandra Bond,
Kingsport, TN, 2-Sons: Bruce Allen Coleman, Maxie, VA, William Coleman,
Baltimore, MD, 1-Sister: Orpha Coleman Brown, Oakwood, VA, 2-Brothers: Irvin
Coleman, Charlotte, NC, Roby Coleman, Maxie, VA
Also, survived by
3-Grandchildren, 3-Nieces and 4-Nephews.
He was preceded in death by
2-Sons: Marlin Coleman Jr. & Ronald Wayne Coleman; and 2-Brothers Clarence &
Donaway Coleman.
Funeral Services for
MARLIN COLEMAN will be conducted Monday, August 18, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the
Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors: Ronnie Sliger and Pim Griffey
officiating with burial to follow in the Deel & Coleman Cemetery on Bull
Mountain, Harman, VA.
Friends may call at the
Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Saturday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services
Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:00 P.M.
