MICHAEL WAYNE MURPHY, 39 years of age of Oakwood, VA, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy, VA, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of Clyde Clinton Murphy, Jr., Oakwood, VA, and the late Delphia Keaton Murphy. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a loving son.

He is survived by his father: Clyde Clinton Murphy, Jr., Oakwood, VA,

He was preceded in death by his mother, Delphia Keaton Murphy, December 16, 1990, Maternal Grandparents: Clarence & Rose Endicott Keaton and Paternal Grandparents:  Clyde Sr. & Loe Edith White Murphy

Funeral Services for MICHAEL WAYNE MURPHY will be conducted Friday, December 4, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel.
