MICHELLE PATRICIA KELLY BLANKENSHIP, 59 years of
age of Maxie, VA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at her
home following an extended illness . Born in West Brownsville, Pennsylvania,
she was the daughter of the late Jack Kelly and Doris Marie Robinson Kelly.
She had been a resident of Buchanan County several years and was a
homemaker, a devoted wife and proud mother. She was a member of the Breaks
Church of Christ and a dedicated member of the Harman Volunteer Fire
Department. She was employed by Zayre’s for ten and half years and Firestone
Tires for six years. Michelle was a Nascar fan and an avid bowler as well as
a Pittsburg Steeler fan. She also loved her dogs: Lady, Fang and Demitri
.Michelle was very proud of her Irish heritage, and her family. She spoke
often of her family and looked forward to visits with them. It was a
pleasure to hear her talk of their family gatherings. One only had to be
around Michelle for a short while, to know how proud she was of Randall and
his military service, and their days of drag racing. She was especially
proud of their son Michael, he was the light of her life. Michelle was also
blessed to have wonderful in-laws, she spoke of them and especially how
Flossie and Teresa had been there to help in these last trying months.
Michelle was a wonderful person and her presence will be missed by many.
