NANCY ETHEL BOYD LESTER, 84 years of age of the Stonecoal Section of Grundy, VA, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009 at her home following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Elizabeth Grizzle Boyd. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of the Pilgrim Rest Primitive Baptist Church for 69-Years. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker.

Mrs. Lester was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Franklin (Frank) Lester, August 25, 1967.

She is survived by 3-Daughters: Connie Lester, Shenandoah, VA, Carol and husband Denny Keen, Grundy, VA, Bonnie and husband Don Alcorn, Berea, KY, 1-Son: Glen and wife Teresa Lester, Grundy, VA, 2-Sisters: Dora Cantrell, Whitewood, VA, Bertha Cooper, Whitewood, VA

Also, survived by 6-Grandchildren: Denny Keen Jr., Dewey Keen, Douglas Keen, Shannon Alcorn, Shane Alcorn, Robert Lester and 2-Great-Grandchildren: Austin Keen and Bradley Keen.

She was preceded in death by 11-Sisters and Brothers.

Funeral Services for NANCY ETHEL BOYD LESTER will be conducted Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Elders: Eunice Davis and Aaron Williams officiating with burial to follow at the Lester Cemetery on State Line Ridge #1, Paynesville, WV.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday afternoon at 5:00 P.M.
