NORMAN LEE WELLS, 82 years of age of English, WV, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 at his home following a long battle with lung cancer under hospice care. Born in Salisbury, MD, he was the son of the late Clifford and Laura White Wells. He was a resident of McDowell County, WV, for many years and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was a Diesel mechanic. Mr. Wells was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local Union 542 and his hobbies included Carpentry, Model Boat Building, Painting and Working.

Mr. Wells is survived by his wife of 37-years, Goldie Payne Wells, English, WV, 3-Sons: Clifford Lee Wells, Florida, Glen and wife Dana Wells, Mississippi, Brian Lee and wife Mary Owens, Bartley, WV, 5-Daughters: Patricia Wells Britton, Florida, Barbara Wells Baumann, Salisbury, MD, Dreama and husband Richard (Rick) Rathel, Salisbury, MD, Hazel Lea and husband Carl Deskins, Atwell, WV, Elsie Lea and husband Eugene Deskins, Atwell, WV, 1-Brother: Raymond Earl Wells, Pittsville, MD

Also, survived by 19-Grandchildren, Many Great-Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by 1-Sister: Geraldine Bartemy and 1-Nephew: Nye Bartemy.

Memorial Services for NORMAN LEE WELLS will be conducted Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Rock Springs Baptist Church, Bradshaw, WV, with Rev. Dean Crane and Rev. Melvin Muncy officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Staff of Hospice Compassus and Dr. David Ofsa & Staff.
