ORPHA COLEMAN BROWN, 73 years of age of Oakwood, VA passed away Sunday, August 24, 2008, at Sarasota Hospice House, Sarasota, FL following an extended illness.  Born in Wise County, she was a daughter of the late Tie Nelson and Stella Coleman Coleman and was a member of Guiding Light Freewill Baptist Church.  She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life, a member of Oakwood Lions Club and was owner and operator of Zip Thru Market, Oakwood, VA

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her first Husband: Grover Deel and her second Husband: Clarence Brown.

She is survived by: 2-Daughters: Rita Simmons, Bradenton, FL, Regina Lewis, Charlotte, NC, 2-Brothers: Irvin Coleman, Charlotte, NC, Roby Coleman, Maxie, VA, 3-Grandchildren: Jason Simmons, Marion, VA, Miranda Rosenstein, Portland, Maine, Kim Kusiak, Scottsdale, AZ, 2-Great-Grandchildren: Jason Simmons, Marion, VA, Julia Simmons, Marion, VA

She was preceded in death by 3-Brothers: Clarence, Donway and Marlin Coleman

Funeral Services for ORPHA COLEMAN BROWN will be conducted Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sonny Perkins officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA

Friends may call at Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Thursday evening at 6:00 PM with services Friday evening at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be: Chad Rosenstein, Pete Kusiak, Larry Lewis, Bobby Street, Billy Payne and Virgil Meadows.
