PATRICIA ANN ALFORD MATNEY, 46 years of age of the Garden Creek section of Oakwood, Virginia, passed away at her home Friday, September 24, 2010 following an extended illness.  Born in Beckley. WV, she was the daughter of Patsy Griffith Alford of Cleveland, OH, the late James Alford.  She was a member of the Church of Christ and was a wonderful homemaker, devoted wife, and loving mother.

Mrs. Matney is survived by her husband Reiford Matney of Oakwood, VA, 1-Daughter: Amanda Matney, Oakwood, VA, 1-Son: Jody Reiford Matney, Oakwood, VA, 1-Sister: Terri Lynn Ensign, Cleveland, OH, 1-Brother: Billy Alford, Cleveland, OH, Step-Mother: Ellen Alford, Patterson, VA

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Matney was preceded in death by 1-Brother John Earl Alford.

Funeral services for PATRICIA ANN ALFORD MANTEY will be conducted Monday, September 27, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. Mike Rife and Evg. Dennis Wimmer officiating with burial to follow at the Esau Rife Cemetery at Keen Mountain, VA. 

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Saturday evening after 6:00 P.M. with services Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Employees of Total Home Care & Hospice.
