PATTY SUE JACKSON LESTER, 52 years of age of Grundy, VA, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at her home following an extended illness. Born in Iaeger, WV, she was the daughter of Pearl Ann Dotson Jackson, Lafayette, TN, and the late Scott Jackson, March 6, 2008. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a 1975 graduate of Grundy Senior High School, graduated from the Buchanan County Vocational School’s Cosmetology Department, and a graduate of Southwest Virginia Community College. She was a loving mother, grandmother and worked in the Registrars Office at the Buchanan County Courthouse. 

Ms. Lester is survived by her mother: Pearl Ann Dotson, Lafayette, TN, 2-Daughters: Rayetta and husband Wayne Looney, Grundy, VA, Chasity Hope and husband Mike Ramey, Elkhorn City, KY, 1-Son: Joey and wife Sheena Lester, Big Rock, VA, 4-Brothers: Larry Scott Jackson, Big Rock, VA, David and wife Gail Jackson, Red Boiling Springs, TN, Stevie Harold and wife Teresa Jackson, Abingdon, VA, Edwin and wife Clara Jackson, Big Rock, VA.

Also, survived by 4-Grandchildren: Jackson Looney, Isabella Looney, Jacob Ramey and Logan Lester, 1-Special Niece: Billie Jean Hurley and several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by 1-Sister: Donna Jean McClanahan.

Funeral Services for PATTY SUE JACKSON LESTER will be conducted Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers: Britt Jackson, Bobby Jackson, Joe Jackson and Kenny Jackson officiating with Entombment to follow in Mountain Rest Mausoleum at Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Mario Stefanini, Lila Hall, Jennifer Cordle, Eugene Whited and Bobby Hale.
