PAUL HOMER COMPTON, 67 years of age of Grundy, VA, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Claude and Catherine Stiltner Compton. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Compton was a 1962 Graduate of Grundy High School and was a member of Sandy Valley Lodge #17 AF&AM where he served as Past Worshipful Master. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and was an Owner/Operator of a service station.

Mr. Compton is survived by his wife, Rachel Bailey Compton, Grundy, VA, 2-Sons: Jeff Compton, Grundy, VA, Shawn Compton, Grundy, VA, 1-Sister: Betty and husband Bill Lester, Richmond, VA, 1-Brother: Robert Compton, Stafford, VA, 1-Grandson: Seth Compton, Grundy, VA

At the request of Mr. Compton his remains will be cremated.
