PAUL SCARBERRY, JR., 58  years of age of Traphill, North Carolina, formerly of Buchanan County passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Winston Salem, North Carolina following an extended illness.  He was the son of  Liza Mullins Scarberry of Cliffield, Virginia and the late Paul Scarberry.  He has been a resident of Buchanan several years prior to moving to Winston Salem, NC.  He served in the United States Air Force and was an employee of Bassett Furniture Company.

Mr. Scarberry is survived by his mother, Liza Mullins of Cliffield, VA, 2- Sons: Scott Scarberry, Elkin, NC, Paul Steven Scarberry, Elkin, NC, 1-Sister: Ebbie and husband Ken Hampton, Vansant, VA, 4-Brothers: William and Wife Rita Scarberry, Wardell, VA, Clell and wife Amy Scarberry, Hi-Hat, KY, Brad Scarberry, Winston Salem, NC, Danny Ray Scarberry, Pounding Mill, VA.

Also, survived by two step-children.

He was preceded in death by -2- sisters: Linda Scarberry and Michele Scarberry and 2- brother: Frank and Joe Scarberry.

Graveside rites for PAUL SCARBERRY, JR. will be conducted Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Scarberry Family Cemetery on Kershaw Hollow on Guesses Fork near Hurley, VA with Elder Danny Hurley officiating with burial to follow. 

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel, Friday afternoon at 5:00P.M. with services at 6:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
