RANDLE PAUL JACKSON, 61 years of age of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, formerly of Hurley, Va., passed away Saturday, February 7, 2009 at the Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness.  Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of Omar (Bobby) and Nuval Georgia Rakes Jackson of Hurley, VA.  He was a retired Coal Miner and a member of the Church of God. 

Mr. Jackson is survived by is wife Patricia Collins Scott Jackson of Cedar Bluff, VA, Two step daughters: Yvonne Scott and her husband Thomas Poore, Bradshaw, WV, Sherry Scott and her husband Ronald (Bubby) Vance, Paynesville, WV, Four Sisters: Juanita and her husband Joe Justus, Hurley, VA, Lana and her husband Cline Estep, Hurley, VA, Rhonda and her husband Les May, Hurley, VA, Rebecca Jackson, Hurley, VA, Seven Brothers: Homer and his wife Alpha Jackson, Hurley, VA, Kenneth and his wife Okie Jackson, Hurley, VA, Bruce and his wife Connie Jackson, Hurley, VA, Joe and his wife Carol Jackson, Hurley, VA, Alvin and his wife Melissa Jackson, Pounding Mill, VA, Michael and his wife Nancy Jackson, Hurley, VA, Burton Jackson, Hurley, VA

Three Step-Granchildren – Amelia Hicks, Matthew Vance and Trey Vance.

Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son – Gregory Paul Jackson and step Grandson – James Poore

Funeral services for RANDLE PAUL JACKSON will be conducted Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bethany Bible Church with Ministers Edgel Collins, Ervin Hurley, Paul Rife and Ed Steele officiating with burial to follow in the Jackson Family Cemetery on Hunts Fork, near Hurley, VA

Friends may call at the Bethany Bible Church after 5:00 P.M. Monday and there will be services Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Special Friends – John Dash, employees of WJDW and Ray Justus.

Active pallbearers will be nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Eric Goss, Brothers-in-law, Third Floor Nursing at Buchanan General Hospital and employees of Mercy Ambulance Service.
