REABLE ADKINS COLEMAN, 86 years of age of Grundy, VA, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the Clinch Valley Medical Center, Richlands, VA, following an extended illness. Born in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Chris and Frankie Mullins Adkins. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life and was a member of the United Church of God, Prestonsburg, KY. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker.

Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her husband: John Coleman Jr., February 10, 1991.

She is survived by 1-Daughter: Rita D. and husband Clayton McGlothlin, Prattville, AL, 5-Sons: Donald and wife Barbara Coleman, Louisville, KY, Roger and wife Frances Coleman, Seymour, TN, Bobby Coleman, Palatka, FL, Wendell and wife Nadine Coleman, Vansant, VA, Ricky and wife Brenda Coleman, Grundy, VA, 2-Sisters: Betty Thacker, Louisville, KY, Carol Alvey, Louisville, KY, 2-Brothers: Ed Adkins, Louisville, KY, Bennett Adkins, Louisville, KY

Also, survived by 14-Grandchildren, 20-Great-Grandchildren and 2-Great-Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 1-Daughter: Peggy Jo Coleman; 1-Son: Billy Dean Coleman; 5-Sisters: Edith Gillespie, Ozell Bibb, Imal Rowe, Ruby Caufield and Peggy Adkins; 2-Brothers: John Adkins and Paul Adkins; 1-Granddaughter: Crystal Rae Davis and 1-Grandson: Jarrad Coleman.

Funeral Services for REABLE ADKINS COLEMAN will be conducted Monday, April 20, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Smith officiating with burial to follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Sunday afternoon at 4:00 P.M. with a Video Tribute at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Friends.
