RICKEY LOWE, 53 year of age of the Slate Creek section of Grundy, VA, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009 following a brief illness. He was the son of the late Mancy and Ida Allen Lowe. Born in Hurley, VA, he moved at a very young age to Grundy, VA, where he lived his entire life. He was a graduate of Grundy High School Class of 1974 and attended Bluefield College. Mr. Lowe was a member of the Oakwood Full Gospel Church. He was a devoted husband, loving father and was owner/operator of Briseth, Inc. was former manager of Gualey Sales. Mr. Lowe was an avid sports fan of Football and Basketball and particularly the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Mr. Lowe is survived by his wife Lynn Oquinn Lowe, Grundy, VA, 2-Sons: Seth Lowe, Grundy, VA, Brice Lowe, Grundy, VA, 2-Sisters: Sue and husband Randy Scott, Vansant, VA, Penny Owens, Charleston, SC, 1-Brother: Paul and wife Brenda Lowe, Vansant, VA

Also, survived by 4-Nieces, 3-Nephews and 6-Great-Nephews.

Funeral Services for RICKEY LOWE will be conducted Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. Mike Rife and Evg. William L. Neeley officiating with burial to follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Saturday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Mark Mutter, Billy Raines, Gary Lakey, Steve Cook, Mark Lowe, Josh Lowe, Nick Shortridge and Junior Smith.
