RITA GAIL VANOVER, 47 years of age of the Little Prater section of Grundy, Virginia, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010 at her home following an extended illness.  Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of Belva Jean Sparks Vanover of Grundy, VA and the late Earnest Lee Vanover.  She was a member of the Vansant Church of Christ and was a caretaker working with the Elderly. 

She is survived by two daughters: Dakota and her husband Mike McCauley, Fredricksburg, VA, Montana Payne, Fredricksburg, VA, Four Sisters: Gina and her husband Kevin Newman, St. Cloud, FL, Jill and husband Dwayne Ramey, Grundy, VA, Leigh and husband Kenny Ratliff, Vansant, VA, Heather Vanover, Grundy, VA, Two Brothers: Frank Vanover and special friend: Shawna Church, Grundy, VA, Jeff Lester, Hurley, VA

Three grandchildren: Landon, Taylor and Jailin McCauley, Fredricksburg, VA

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for RITA GAIL VANOVER will be conducted Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jack Wright officiating with entombment to follow in the Mountain Rest Mausoleum at the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel after 6:00 P.M. Monday with services at 7:00 P.M. with Evg Paul Potter officiating.

Active Pallbearers will be Frank Vanover, Kenny Ratliff, Kevin Newman, Dwayne Ramey, Brett Ramey and Brandon Ramey.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Lester, Michael Deel, Gary Deel II, Lee Reynolds, Mike McCauley, Cody Ramey, Chase Ramey and staff of Special Care Hospice and Staff of Total Home Care.
