ROBERT (BOBBY) RATLIFF, 62 years of age Grundy, VA, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2008 at the Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Hassell and Grace Lester Ratliff. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Harman Freewill Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Mr. Ratliff is survived by his wife: Nancy Ratliff, Grundy, VA, 1-Daughter: Gracie Ratliff Charles, Russell Prater, VA, 1-Son: Robert Ratliff, Kodak, TN, 4-Brothers: Paul and wife Rita Ratliff, Big Rock, VA, Russell Ratliff, Grundy, VA, Randy and wife Connie Ratliff, Conway, VA, Roy David and wife Tammy Ratliff, Claypool Hill, VA

Also, survived by 8-Grandchildren: Andy Charles, Amanda Matney, Courtney Matney, Jason Ratliff, Jamie Matney, Robert Charles, Wayne Charles and Garrett Ratliff, and 1-Great-Grandson: Logan Charles.

He was preceded in death by 1-Daughter: Debbie Ratliff Matney, 2-Sisters: Fern Ratliff Thomas and Ann Ratliff Stiltner, and 1-Brother: Terry Ratliff.

Funeral Services for ROBERT (BOBBY) RATLIFF will be conducted Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers: Eddie Wilson, Ronnie Sliger, Josh Bowman and Bobby Joe Ratliff officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Friday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
