ROSE
JUSTUS DOTSON,
88 years of age, formerly of Grundy, VA, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at
the Crestmont Nursing Home in Fenton, Michigan following an extended illness.
Born at
Hurley in Buchanan County Virginia on August 2, 1921, she was the daughter of
the late Moses “Bud” Justus and Gladys Cook Justus. She was a resident of
Buchanan County most of her life and operated the Town and Country Beauty Shop
in the Royal City area for many years. She was a member of Buchanan First
Presbyterian Church of Grundy.
In addition
to her parents she was preceded in death by her former husband, Scott Dotson;
brothers Edgar Justus and Ralph Justus; and one sister Naomi Justus Nichols.
She is
survived by 1-Daughter: Phyllis Dotson Hill, Flint, MI, 2-Sons: Billy Blake and
wife Verley Dotson, Greensboro, GA, Clay and wife Betty Dotson, Young Harris,
GA, 1-Sister: Ruby Justus Archer, Mission Viejo, CA, 3-Brothers: Tommy and wife
Bonnie Justus, Hurley, VA, Benny and wife Nancy Justus, Hillsville, VA, Butch
and wife Nadine Justus, Hurley, VA
Also,
survived by 7-Grandchildren: Mark Dotson of Jasper, GA, Blake Dotson of
Lumberton, NC, Kim Hazelwood of Cumming, GA, Dawn Clarke of Caledon East,
Ontario, Canada, Robin VanHove of Holly, MI, Greg Blackburn of Linden, MI and
Kurt Hill of Swartz Creek, MI; and 13-Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral
services for ROSE JUSTUS DOTSON will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010, at
11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Stacy
officiating with entombment to follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum,
Claypool Hill, VA.
Friends may
call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Friday, April 9th, from
6:00–8:00 P.M.
Active
Pallbearers will be Greg Blackburn, Blake Dotson, Mark Dotson, Thomas C. Justus,
Tim Nichols, Junior Nichols and Neil Justus.
