ROSIE MARIE JUSTUS DOTSON, 90 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at the Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Australia and Winnie Collins Justus. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Mary’s Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Dotson was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Mrs. Dotson and her husband Walter Dotson owned and operated Walter Dotson General Store for several years.

Mrs. Dotson was preceded in death by her husband: J. Walter Dotson, April 11, 1990.

She is survived by 1-Daughter: Opal and husband Corbin Rife, Hurley, VA, 3-Sons: J. Walter Jr. and wife Juanita Dotson, Hurley, VA, Jimmy Dotson, Dublin, VA, Starlin and wife Sue Dotson, Hurley, VA, 3-Sisters: Blanche and husband Edison “Dub” Crockett, Lake City, FL, Merlie and husband Tommy Crockett, Cocoa Beach, FL, Linda Walters, Winter Springs, FL, 5-Half-Brothers: Billy Dewayne Justus, Whitesville, NC, Bobby Justus, Trinity, NC, Sam Justus, Level Cross, NC, Devan Hoke, Rock Hill, SC, Roger Justus, Trinity, NC, 2-Half-Sisters: Jewell Aguilar, Beckley, WV, Jackie Smith, Kernersville, NC

Also, survived by 9-Grandchildren, 13-Great-Grandchildren and 1-Great-Great-Grandchild.

She was preceded in death by 1-Sister: Hannah Reynolds, 4-Brothers: William Jr., Theodore, Hershel and John Justus; and 1-Grandson: Jimmy Rodney Dotson.

Funeral Services for ROSIE MARIE JUSTUS DOTSON will be conducted Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby McGraw officiating with entombment following in Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:30 P.M.
