RUTH BALL McCLANAHAN, 69 years of age of Grundy, VA, passed away Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Defiance, OH, she was the daughter of the late George Foster and Jessie Morris Ball. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life and was a member of Harman Holiness Church. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker.

Mrs. McClanahan is survived by her husband: James McClanahan, Grundy, VA, 2-Daughters: Debbie Jean Boyd, Hurley, VA, Marsha Sue and husband Paul Stiltner, Grundy, VA, 1-Sister: Kathy WyDant, Defiance, OH, 1-Cousin: Sally Fuller, Hicksville, OH

Also, survived by 5-Grandchildren and 4-Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 1-Sister: Carolyn Ball Stiltner; 2-Brothers: George Ball and Jimmy Ball; and 1-Great-Grandson: Jarrod Ethan King.

Funeral Services for RUTH BALL McCLANAHAN will be conducted Friday, October 31, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Harman Holiness Church, Harman, VA, with Revs. Danny Hess and W.T. Meredith officiating with burial to follow in the McClanahan Cemetery on Poplar Creek, near Grundy, VA.

Friends may call at the Harman Holiness Church, Harman, VA, Wednesday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Matthew Stiltner, James Stiltner, Clay Potter, Nick King, Jimmy Clevinger and Eddie Wilson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Friends.
