RUTH HELEN BROWN, 74 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Friday, November 7, 2008 at the Clinch Valley Medical Center, Richlands, VA, following an extended illness. Born in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Wiley and Lovis Osborne Brown. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life and was a wonderful homemaker.

She is survived by her husband: Dennis Whitt, Hurley, VA, 3-Daughters: Brenda and husband Robert Hurley, Hurley, VA, Rebecca “Becky” Justus, Grundy, VA, Michelle Hurley, Wytheville, VA, 3-Sons: William “Bill” Justus, Grundy, VA, Michael Justus, Richlands, VA, Ricky Justus, Ohio, 1-Sister: Lorraine Stacy, Detroit, MI, 1-Brother: Bill Brown, Ohio

Also, survived by several grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 2-Brothers.

Funeral Services for RUTH HELEN BROWN will be conducted Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the New Beginning in Jesus Name, Paw Paw, KY, with Pastor Donnie Prater officiating with burial to follow in the Pine Tree Cemetery on Old Lester’s Fork Road, near Hurley, VA.

Friends may call at the New Beginning in Jesus Name, Paw Paw, KY, Sunday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services Sunday and Monday evenings at 7:00 P.M.
