SARAH JONES BLANKENSHIP, 79 years of age of Paynesville, WV, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at her home following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Jane Baker Jones. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of the Church of Christ for 45-years. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, a wonderful homemaker and the last surviving member of her immediate family. Before her illness she loved going to church, singing and traveling with family and friends.

Mrs. Blankenship is survived by her husband of 57-years: Evg. Paul Vernor Blankenship, Paynesville, WV, 2-Daughters: Susie and husband Jerry Brown, Paynesville, WV, Velda Ann and husband Don Arnett, Paynesville, WV, 1-Son: Paul R. and wife Victoria Michelle Blankenship, Ashley, IN

Also, survived by 6-Grandchildren: William Arnett, Eric Arnett, Sara Brown and husband Randy Trent, William Paul Blankenship, Elizabeth Faith Blankenship and Suzanna Michelle Blankenship, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 1-Grandson: Jerry Wayne Brown, 5-Sisters: Vicey Mullins, Stella Blankenship, Gracie Blankenship, Ollie Fox and Alice Jones; and 2 Brothers: Vince Ellis Jones and Joseph Ellis Jones.

Funeral Services for SARAH JONES BLANKENSHIP will be conducted Monday, September 21, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Crossview Church of Christ, Paynesville, WV, with Evg. Hobert Kennedy and Evg. Glen Blankenship officiating with burial to follow in the Blankenship Mullins Cemetery near the home on Panther Fork Road, Paynesville, WV.

Friends may call at the Crossview Church of Christ, Paynesville, WV, Sunday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Special Care Hospice and Home Health at Anchorage Shopping Center.
