SCOTTIE ESTEP, 56 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2011 at his home following an extended illness. Born in Pike County, KY, he was the son of the late Garland and Ruby Jane Scarberry Estep. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County, was a Coal Miner and of the Christian Faith.

Mr. Estep is survived by1-Step-Daughter: Missy Salmon, Grundy, VA, 1-Step-Son: Michael Sykes           , Grundy, VA, 3-Sisters: Bertha Allen, Hurley, VA, Edna Justice, Freeburn, KY, Joann and husband Ronald Jay Lester, Woodman, KY, 2-Brothers: Orville and wife Lucrettia Estep, Hurley, VA, Dallas and wife Kathy Estep, Hurley, VA

Also, survived by Special Brother-in-Law and Friend: Roger Allen, and several Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving son, Christopher Estep, January 2, 1986, 2-Sisters: Beatrice and Patricia Estep, and 1-Brother Jeffery Estep.

Funeral Services for SCOTTIE ESTEP will be conducted Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers: Thomas Douglas Maynard and Wilburn Dotson officiating with burial to follow in the Estep Family Cemetery on Paw Paw, near Hurley, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Saturday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
