SHIRLEY FULLER LESTER, 84 years of age of Big Rock, VA, passed away February 5, 2011 in the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY, following an extended illness. Born May 9, 1926 in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Roxie Keene Fuller. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life and was a member of the New Zion Freewill Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Lester was preceded in death by her husband of 60-years, Earl Lester, June 11, 2005.

She is survived by 3-Daughters: Delorise and husband Paul Skeens, Big Rock, VA, Phyllis and husband Harold Looney, Big Rock, VA, Clara and husband Edwin Jackson, Big Rock, VA, 2-Sons: William Earl and wife Nancy Lester, Vansant, VA, Raymond Edward and wife Polly Lester, Big Rock, VA

Also, survived by 10-Grandchildren, 18-Great-Grandchildren and 3-Great-Great-Grandchildren, and several Nieces and Nephews. 

She was preceded in death by 2-Sisters: Callie Harrison and Vernie Buchanan; and 5-Brothers: Lawson, L.D., Avery, Jimmy and Elsie Fuller.

Funeral Services for SHIRLEY FULLER LESTER will be conducted Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers: E.C. Honaker, Jimmy Kerr and Carl Burmeier officiating with burial to follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
