SHIRLEY JUNE BOGGS STACY, 73 years of age of Oakwood, VA, passed away Friday, March 26, 2010 at Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Wise County, Va, she was the daughter of the late Willington “Bill” Boggs and Bessie Oakley Counts.  She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life and was a member of the Garden Baptist Church. She was a retired Nurse from Buchanan General Hospital.   She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother.   

Mrs. Stacy is survived by her husband Elmer Stacy of Oakwood, VA.

Also survived by:  1-Daughter: Sandra Diane Harris, Oakwood, VA; 1-Son: Kevin Dean Stacy, Bluefield, VA; 1-Brother: Bill E. Boggs, Bristol, VA; 4-Grandchildren: Hope Meadows, Oakwood, VA; Kris Harris, Oakwood, VA; Stephanie Stacy, Nitro, WV, Walker Dean Stacy, Charleston, WV.  Also, survived by 5 nephews and 3 nieces.

She was preceded in death by 2-Sisters: Frances Clevinger and Mary Virginia Boggs; 1-Brother: Robert Boggs.

Funeral Service for SHIRLEY JUNE BOGGS STACY will be conducted Monday, March 29, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Fletcher officiating with burial to follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, VA. Paynesville, WV.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Sunday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. 

Active Pallbearers will be Tim Shortridge, Jim Stacy, Russell Stacy, Kris Harris, Anthony Shortridge, Kevin Stacy, Bob Cox, and Junior Blankenship.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Ramesh Kabaria and staff, and Dr. Eric Goss.
