STEVEN BRIAN FARMER, 50 years of age of Grundy, VA, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at his home. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of Henry and Janice Nichols Farmer, Grundy, VA. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a 1979 Graduate of Grundy Senior High School. Steven enjoyed playing sports and was a member of the Grundy United Methodist Church. He was a loving father, brother and son, and served as a Lineman prior to Securitas.

Mr. Farmer is survived by his parents, Henry and Janice Nichols Farmer, Grundy, VA, his former wife, Cynthia Kirby Farmer, Vansant, VA, 2-Daughters: Leigh Farmer, Anchorage, AK, Lindsay Farmer, Las Vegas, NV, 1-Son: Alex Farmer, New York City, NY, 2-Sisters: Cynthia and husband Chris Webb, Tazewell, VA, Beverly Gentzler, Washington, D.C., 1-Half-Brother: Henry Farmer III, Abingdon, VA

Also, survived by 1-Niece: Lauren Gentzler; 2-Nephews: Michael and Matthew Webb; and 2-Aunts: Shirley Looney and Doris Keene.

Memorial Services for STEVEN BRIAN FARMER will be conducted Friday, June 3, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Witten officiating with cremation to follow. 

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Friday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. prior to services at 7:00 P.M.
