TERESA LYNN DAVIS, 46 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the Wellmont-Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, TN, following a brief illness. Born in Tazewell County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Herbert James and Della Virginia Shell Ratliff. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life and was a member of the Church of God in Jesus Name. Teresa was a 1982 Graduate of Hurley High School, attended the Buchanan County Vocational School and Licensed Practical Nursing School. She was a loving sister and daughter, and was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse at the Grundy Hospital and former employee for Dr. J.P. Sutherland, Sr.

Ms. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Herbert James and Della Virginia Shell Ratliff.

She is survived by 1-Sister: Janice and husband Jerry Clevinger, Hurley, VA, 2-Brothers: David Wayne Ratliff, Athens, OH, James Marshall and wife Vicki Ratliff, Culpepper, VA, 4-Aunts: Gertrude Chaney, Dinwiddie, VA, Ocie Moore, Oakwood, VA, Leona Keene, Keen Mountain, VA, Melda Sykes, Cincinnati, OH, 1-Uncle: Paul Ratliff, Dinwiddie, VA

Also, survived by several Nieces and Nephews, 1-Great-Niece, 2-Great-Nephews, and Special Friends: James R. Sands and Robby Davis.  

Funeral Services for TERESA LYNN DAVIS will be conducted Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers: Ray Sawyers and Tommy Conn officiating with burial to follow in the Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery, Richlands, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Jarrod Clevinger, Justin Clevinger, Jeremy Clevinger, Joe Shelton, Paul Ratliff, David Ratliff, Marshall Ratliff, Jerry Clevinger, Janice Clevinger and Leslie Chaney.
