TERRY DEAN SLONE,
41 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away at his home following a brief
illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Bobby and Opal
McClanahan Slone. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was of
the Baptist Faith. He was a loving father, son and brother, and was a
disabled Coal Miner.
He was preceded
in death by his parents, Bobby and Opal McClanahan Slone.
He is survived by
2-Sons: Matthew Baker, Hurley, VA, Thomas Baker, Hurley, VA, 3-Sisters:
Sherry and husband Michael Dotson, Hurley, VA, Sandy and husband Johnny
Spencer, Hurley, VA, Glenna and husband Jamie Spencer, Hurley, VA,
4-Brothers: David Slone, Hurley, VA, Bobby and wife Hope Slone, Keen
Mountain, VA, Billy Ray McClanahan, Big Rock, VA, Dean and wife Della
Jackson, Hurley, VA
He was preceded
in death by 1-Brother: Danny Slone.
Funeral Services for
TERRY DEAN SLONE will be
conducted Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kelsa Freewill
Baptist Church with Ministers: Ronnie Hurley and Irvin Hurley officiating
with burial to follow in the Slone Cemetery on Puncheon Camp Road, near
Hurley, VA.
Friends may call
at the Kelsa Freewill Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with
services Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 P.M.
