TILDA CHARLES BLACKBURN DOTSON, 71 years of age passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, Virginia following an extended illness.  Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Lundy and Artile Taylor Charles. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God and was preceded in death by her first husband – Dewey Edward Blackburn and her second husband Ralph Dotson. 

She is survived by two sons: Randy and his wife Stephanie Blackburn, Rowe, VA, Danny and his wife Gail Blackburn, Harrisonburg, VA, Five Sisters: Crecie Bowman, Richmond, VA, Gertie Charles, Harrisonburg, VA, Opal St. Clair, Big Rock, VA, Ermal Lester, Hurley, VA, Lennie Charles, Harrisonburg, Va, A Special Daughter –in-law: Coria Sue Childress

She is also survived by Grand Children – Keisha Blackburn, Tosha Blackburn, Randall Blackburn, Charlie Marrs and Jessie Marrs.

She was preceded in death by two sisters – Laura Charles and Maggie Helton and Two brothers – Lloyd Charles and Paul Charles.

Funeral services for TILDA CHARLES BLACKBURN DOTSON will be conducted Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Chapman officiating with burial to follow in the Mounts Cemetery – Majestic, KY

Friends may call Tuesday, January 12, 2010 after 6:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Services Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Kabaria and Staff of Clinch Valley Medical Center.
