VIRGIL DEEL, 83 years of age of Haysi, VA, passed away Friday, September 11, 2009 at the Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Patton and Sarah Deel. He was a resident of Buchanan County most of his life and was a member of the Russell Prater Old Regular Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and was a Retired Coal Miner.

Mr. Deel was preceded in death by his wife: Elmira Deel.

He is survived by 4-Sons: Clovis Deel, Haysi, VA, Allen Deel, Haysi, VA, Keith Deel, Carrolton, OH, Witton Deel, Haysi, VA, 1-Sister: Trula Coleman, Haysi, VA, 1-Foster Sister: Juanita Conway, Haysi, VA, 1-Brother: Burnyal Deel, Haysi, VA, 1-Foster Brother: Dock Owens, Haysi, VA

Also, survived by 5-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 3-Brothers: Luther, Moses and Larry Deel.

Funeral Services for VIRGIL DEEL will be conducted Monday, September 14, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Russell Prater Old Regular Baptist Church, Prater, VA, with Elders: Andy Deel, Denny Deel, Roger Coleman and Jimmy Kelly officiating with burial to follow in the Patton Deel Cemetery on the Left Fork of Greenbrier, near Haysi, VA. 

Friends may call at the Russell Prater Old Regular Baptist Church, Prater, VA, Saturday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
