VIRGINIA FAYE MCCLANAHAN HORNE, 81 years of age of the Harman Junction area of  Harman, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness.  Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Dorsey William and Carrie Belcher McClanahan.  She was a resident of Buchanan County all of her life and was a member of the Grundy Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Grundy High School. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker and loved to work in her flower gardens.

Mrs. Horne was preceded by her husband John Cecil Horn, May 10, 1994.

Mrs. Horne is survived by: (1) Son: Rodney Dean and wife Leslie Horne, Grundy, Va., (1) Sister: Bonnie Cleo McClanahan, Atlanta, GA., (2) Brothers: Estin Rudolph and wife Betty McClanahan, The Plains, Va., Roger Wilson McClanahan, Peterstown, W. Va.

Also, survived by 3-Granddaughters: Amy and husband Tom Pratt, Stafford, VA, Katherine and husband Zack Taylor, Stafford, VA, Emily and husband Al Miller, Highland Falls, NY, and 5- great Grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by 2-Sisters: Margaret Verolee McClanahan Compton, Dorotha Lois McClanahan and 2- Brothers: Elster Monroe McClanahan, and Edison Carlye McClanahan.

Funeral Services for VIRGINIA FAYE MCCLANAHAN HORNE  will be conducted Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. William L. Neeley officiating with burial to follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday evening at 6:00P.M.with services at 7:00 P.M.
