VIRGINIA POTTER DALES, 81 years of age of Tuscaloosa, AL, formerly of Grundy, VA, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Louise Stiltner Potter. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life prior to moving to Tuscaloosa, AL, and was a member of the Big Branch Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker.

Mrs. Dales was preceded in death by her husband, Graham T. Dales, March 10, 1999.

She is survived by 2-Daughters: Deborah Louise and husband Gerald Parrott, Tuscaloosa, AL, Pamela Jane and husband Joseph Robertson, Corbin, KY, 3-Sisters: Ruby and husband Don Salyers, Kingsport, TN, Dorothy and husband Joseph McCallister, Bastian, VA, Magalene Woodward, Weldon, NC

Also, survived by 4-Grandchildren and 5-Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 3-Sisters: Lena Dixon, Emile Compton and Marie Bentley; and 3-Brothers: Carroll Potter, Warren Looney and Marcus “Bud” Potter-passed away on March 16, 2011.

Funeral Services for VIRGINIA POTTER DALES will be conducted Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. Dennis Wimmer officiating with burial to follow in the Greenhills Memory Garden, Claypool Hill, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Friday evening at 6:00 P.M.
