
WILLIAM THOMAS OSBORNE
JR., 80 years
of age of Big Rock, VA, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010 at his home
following an extended illness. Born in Prestonsburg, KY, he was the son of the
late William Thomas and Nannie Reffit Osborne. He was a resident of Buchanan
County most of his life and was of the Church of Christ Faith. Mr. Osborne
served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a retired
Coal Miner.
Mr. Osborne is survived
by 2-Sisters: Virginia “Ginny” and her husband Stewart Stiltner, Grundy, VA,
Pauline Deel, Lebanon, VA, 1-Brother: Jimmy Osborne, Bristol, TN
He was preceded in death
by 3-Sisters: Helen Blankenship, Delores Osborne and Alice Osborne; and
1-Brother: Norman Osborne.
Funeral Services for
WILLIAM THOMAS OSBORNE JR. will be conducted Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 1:00
P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. Raffael Farrow officiating with
burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.
Friends may call at the
Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Monday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services at 7:00
P.M.
Active Pallbearers will
be Ermel Wolford, Larry “Pooch” Newsome, Cody Elswick, Homer Newsome, Frank A.
Stiltner, Brandon M. Stiltner and Kenneth J. Spake.
Honorary Pallbearers
will be Kenny Spake, Stewart Stiltner, Bill Blankenship, Ricky Osborne and Wade
Spake.
Full Military Rites will
be conducted at the cemetery by members of Childs Gentry Post No. 7360 of the
Veterans of Foreign War.
