Obituary for Peggy Jean Lane
PEGGY JEAN (STACY) LANE, 80 years of age of the Poplar Creek section of Grundy, VA, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the Bristol Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Blain and Virginia (Rowe) Stacy. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Harman Holiness. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, loved her church and was a wonderful homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Burnis Lane, 2-Daughters: Brenda (Susie) Lane and Sandra Keene, Grandson: John Mays, several brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include 3-Sons: Kenneth (Bobbi) Lane of Abingdon, VA, Adam (Lisa) Lane of Claypool Hill, VA, Ryan (Jennifer) Mays of Grundy, VA; 1-Brother: Bobby Gene (Trudy) Stacy of North East, TN.
Also, survived by 13-Grandchildren, 4-Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for PEGGY JEAN (STACY) LANE will be conducted Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Hess officiating with burial to follow in Lane Cemetery on Poplar Creek.
Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Friday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services at 6:00 P.M.
Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
